Operations Associate – Salesforce Admin (Closed)
Deadline:
Applications for this position must be received no later than Wednesday, 12th October 2022.
Position description
Effective Ventures Operations (EV Ops) is seeking an Operations Associate – Salesforce Admin to join the Systems team and help accelerate progress on building our CRM and provide valuable data to our programs.
EV Ops aims to provide world-class operational support to organisations that are expected to have an outsized positive impact. We do this by providing the financial, legal, administrative, grantmaking, logistical, and fundraising support that enables many high-impact organisations to grow, including: CEA, 80,000 Hours, the Forethought Foundation, EA Funds, Giving What We Can, the Centre for the Governance of AI, Longview Philanthropy, Asterisk, and Non-trivial.
The project and the role
We are in the process of building a shared CRM within Salesforce for program management across the orgs we support. This will help us to automate tasks, make more informed decisions, and get more data on the impact of our programs (and how to increase that impact). We are particularly interested in tracking the engagement of our users and how they interact with our various projects over time. We expect the CRM will unlock a huge amount of potential and increase efficiency across the legal entity.
We’re looking for an Operations Associate to support our CRM implementation and help ensure we maximise the value it provides our users. Previous Salesforce experience is not required! We will train you on Salesforce and our specific system setup.
If you’re successful in the role, you’ll save staff time, help us to coordinate our outreach, and facilitate much of our impact analysis.
You will focus on the following key responsibilities:
- Creating insightful reports for staff
- Maintaining the integrity of our data by managing duplicates and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Identifying improvements to existing processes, administration, and automations
- Collating and cleaning data sources to import into our CRM
- Assisting in developing and updating documentation on configuration and user guidance
- Collaborating with our Salesforce Engineers to test and deploy new solutions
- Conducting user interviews to get feedback from staff and improve user experience
- Taking ownership of general user administration
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be:
- Passionate about systems: If you get excited by spreadsheets, automation, and data analysis, this role may be for you. Prior Salesforce experience isn’t required for this role, but will be considered a big plus.
- Highly organised: You should approach tasks methodically, valuing accuracy whilst able to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Detail-oriented: You will be dealing with large volumes of data, so you need a keen eye for inconsistencies and errors.
- A quick learner: You’ll need to become familiar with new kinds of systems and pick up context quickly.
- Enthusiastic to take on a support role: You are energised by acting as a force multiplier, and are willing to take on some repetitive and unglamorous tasks to make that happen
- Committed: We’re looking for someone who is excited to learn the ins and outs of our systems and who wants to commit for at least two years.
- Mission-driven: Our ideal candidate is passionate about the goals of EV and its constituent organisations.
